Registration Ends July 15 or When Roster is Full
The 32nd annual Jones Beach Volleyball Tournament, sponsored by Citibank and the NYS Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, will be held on Saturday, July 17. The rain date is Sunday, July 18.
The tournament consists of a four-player division and a six-player division, both of which will take place simultaneously. The first round of matches will be played as a Round Robin. All six-player teams are guaranteed to play seven games and all four-player teams are guaranteed to play three games. The top two teams from each bracket will advance into the quarterfinals.
Cash prizes will be awarded to the first and second-place teams in each division. Corporate contributors for the event include J & B Restaurant Partners, Inc., 102.3 WBAB radio station, 106.1 WBLI radio station and New Living Magazine.
Registration is free and ends July 15 at 4 p.m. or until the roster is full. Registration is conducted weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Long Island State Park Headquarters located in Babylon, at exit 37N off the Southern State Parkway.
