The Boys Track Team was triumphant at their meet on Tuesday against Seaford, North Shore and Clarke High Schools. Brandon Beiersdorfer led the way with a victory in the 400-meter run, while Lucas Pugliese won the 800-meter race.
The relay teams were dominant with victories by both the 4 x 100 and the 4 x 400. The 4 x 100 included: Joe Duthie, Adam Kirschner, Tommy Brownstone, and Tyler Blauvelt, while the 4 x 400 consisted of Pugliese, Ryan Paolino, Nick Alavanja, and Beiersdorfer.
The Bulldogs performed exceptionally well in the field events. Peter Tucci won the Triple Jump with a leap just inches short of the school record. Tucci also paved the way by winning the High Jump. Blauvelt came in a close second in the Long Jump, while Andres Quinterro stepped up with a strong second place finish in the Discus. Unfortunately, no other team was willing to compete against the “big-man” relay team.
