Event Already Boasting 100 Confirmed Vendors
The signs are posted, fliers mailed, vendors (over 100) confirmed and now all that’s missing is you!
Be sure to make a big note on your July calendar that the 9th Annual Hicksville Street Fair will be held on Sunday, July 24 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. If you have never been, you must be sure to stop by this year. The fairs have grown bigger and better with every passing year thanks to the hard work of the Chamber of Commerce and the Street Fair Committee.
Special thanks to the Platinum sponsor, Optimum, and Silver sponsors American Dental, Broadway Mall and NSLIJ (Plainview & Syosset Hospitals) as well as T-shirt sponsors Roslyn and Ridgewood Savings Banks and Great Smiles Family Dental. Without them it would be difficult to offer such a great day of fun and free rides for the children.
This year, once again, 500 T-shirts will be available on a first come-first served basis to children under 10 accompanied by an adult. The shirts are a great memento and many fairgoers can be seen wearing theirs from years past. Stop by the Chamber table to pick yours up. Free rides this year include the water slide (a favorite), ferris wheel, rock wall and the swing and space ball and everybody’s favorite Marty, the caricaturist, will be sitting in the gazebo between 1 and 3 p.m. for that special souvenir to take home – a cute picture of you or your loved one.
The Mid Life Crisis and MOTP (Members of the Press) bands will serenade with some popular and nostalgic tunes from the Town of Oyster Bay Showmobile throughout the afternoon. And the popular Farmer’s Market will be open during Street Fair hours for your produce shopping pleasure.
