“Who Gon’ Check Me Boo?”
That’s right, you’ve heard it before if you watch the hit Bravo “Housewives” series and now you can listen to it as many times as you want, over and over again.
The phrase was first uttered by Sheree Whitfield of “The Housewives of Atlanta.” It soon became her signature catchphrase.
Like any other “Housewives” star, Whitfield has branched out into music. This week, she has officially followed in the footsteps of another Atlanta housewife by releasing her very first single.
Whitfield released her debut single called “Who Gon’ Check Me Boo?” The title, according to Too Fab, is one of her signature catchphrases from her blowout with a party planner last season.
“You ain’t got to like me,” she sings. “but I bet you gon’ respect me.”
“Hey tweeps! Be sure to download my new single “Who Gon’ Check Me Boo! as an mp3 or ringtone on itunes,” tweeted Whitfield.
The song was released Friday by 5090 Music Group and is now available on iTunes.
“Go Google me,” she sings in her new song. “Tell me who’s gon’ check me boo?”
Her co-star, Kim Zolciak, released a song earlier called “Tardy for the Party.” Zolciak’s song became super successful. But Kim wasn’t the only one to release a single, maybe the only one that produced a successful single.
Whitfield follows a slew of other wannabe singers from the Bravo “Housewives” series including Melissa Gorga from New Jersey, Countess LuAnn de Lesseps from New York, among others.
Whitfield, who’s ex-husband is former Atlanta Falcons player, Bob Whitfield, became famous during the first season of “The Housewives of Atlanta.” The first and second seasons of the reality show followed Whitfield as she launched her fashion line called She by Sheree. This season, Whitfield is seen battling her ex-husband in court for alimony, which the court reportedly did not grant her.
