Inmate Brawl Leaves One Dead

One man died during an inmate fight at a Nassau County jail.

According to Nassau County Police, at around 6:45 a.m. Saturday, 26-year-old Antwan Brown from Long Beach became involved in a physical confrontation with a fellow inmate at the Nassau County Correctional Center in East Meadow. The victim suffered contusions throughout his body and was transported to a local hospital.  At 7:55 a.m., Brown was pronounced dead.

The investigation is continuing.
