Make it two in a row for Changing Times (CT) Pub, two wins and two “Player of the Week” awards. Rookie Mike Corda was the “stand-out” this week for CT making several spectacular catches in left field on the 90-feet. One catch was an amazing grab as he was running full speed and heading down the hill. It was a big momentum change as the bases were loaded with two outs. Corda also added two hits including a two-run bomb to left center in the late innings.
It was a great team effort for the “new look” CT in its 20-13 win over Lockie & Nowachek (L&N) Family Chiropractors. Rookie shortstop Larry Ortilani was 4-4 and veteran Big John Hughes was 3-3 with a big homerun late in the game. The defense was stellar and held a good hitting L&N team to 13 runs in eight innings.
