Zachary Zeises and Alix Katz
Selected as October Winners
The Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District’s John F. Kennedy High School recently announced the following student-athletes as the District’s Athlete of the Month for October:
Zachary Zeises – Senior – Boys’ Varsity Soccer
“Zach is a senior and four-year varsity player. He has really improved in the last half of the season. Zach has shown great leadership, leading the team into the playoffs. With his effort this season he earned All-County Honors.”

Alix Katz – Senior – Girls’ Varsity Tennis
“Alix has been on the Girls’ Varsity Tennis team for all four years of her high school career. This year she was the team captain, and faced some of the best players in the county during each of her 14 regular season matches. While she played hard and practiced regularly, Alix was able to keep with her schoolwork that included four AP courses and two college level courses. Alix has an overall GPA of 97.34, which puts her in the top 10 percent of this school year’s senior class. Alix is a perfect example of a true student-athlete.”
