A teenager from Queens was sentenced Thursday to 20 years in prison for raping a women and sexually abusing another weeks apart in Valley Stream last year.
Nassau County Judge Angelo Delligatti also sentenced Nashane Peterkin to 20 years of post-release supervision.
The 17-year-old had pleaded guilty in December to first-degree rape, criminal sexual act, sexual abuse, strangulation and assault.
Prosecutors said Peterkin sexually abused a 30-year-old pregnant woman in Valley Stream on Aug. 12 and raped a 61-year-old woman in Valley Stream Park on Sept. 1. Peterkin was arrested Sept. 8.
Judge Delligatti also said he would recommend that when Peterkin nears release that the teen be subject of a civil proceeding to determine whether he may be civilly confined to a secure treatment facility.
