Official Honors GN Author

Assemblyman Charles Lavine (D-Glen Cove) congratulates Great Neck resident and author Lois Schaffer on her book “The Unthinkable” during a recent book signing and reading at the Barnes and Noble in Manhasset.

The book is about the life and tragic death of her daughter Susan at the hands of 17-year-old burglars who shot her multiple times and the implications of illegal firearms and gun violence.

Schaffer’s book, a tribute to her daughter, is also a plea for real legislative and cultural reform.
