Suffolk County police Wednesday arrested a Brentwood man for allegedly driving drunk with his young daughter in the car, police said.
Cops arrested 34-year-old Jose Umanzor after he attempted to make a U-turn in a parking lot on Crooked Hill Road in Brentwood and then backed into an unoccupied parked vehicle, police said.
Umanzor and his 4-year-old daughter were not injured in the crash.
Police charged the father under Leandra’s Law for aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child 15 years old or younger. He was also charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
The girl was released to a family member, police said.
Umanzor will be arraigned Thursday at First District Court in Central Islip.
