On Thursday, May 15, DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse was scheduled to open its doors at a new store in Manhasset Center at 1400 Northern Blvd. The opening has been delayed. The location fills a two-story building that had stood empty since a bankrupt Filene’s Basement vacated the property more than two years ago.
DSW shoe store will be on the first floor and Nordstrom Rack will open in June on the second floor, according to the stores and the New Hyde Park-based real estate investment trust Kimco Realty Corp, the landlord.
The new store in Manhasset Center marks the seventh DSW store in the Long Island area. According to Carrie Mokros, spokesperson for the chain, the store will employ 25-40 full time and part time associates.
Shoe lovers can shop all of the latest designer shoe trends and find great values, making DSW the hottest shoe destination in Long Island right now.
Shoppers will be amazed at the 21,000 square feet space full of women’s and men’s shoes, not to mention hundreds of accessories and handbags. More than 28,000 pairs of shoes will fill the space and associates are excited to open the doors.
The opening is scheduled for next Thursday morning at 10 a.m. Store hours are Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
