As autumn dawns on Long Island, harvest time returns and with it, the annual celebrations culminating in fall festivals from Montauk to Malverne and almost everywhere in between becoming decorated in pumpkins.
The events include festivals dedicated to apples, garlic, pickles—even chestnuts—although most are simply dedicated to all things fall, such as scarecrows, corn husking and jack ‘o lantern making.
