Sag Harbor represents everything that is good about Long Island. The East Hampton/Southampton village is a seaside bastion of elegant shops and sumptuous restaurants culminating in the breathtaking sight of the harbor itself—a portrait of grand sailboats and stately yachts dotting the seascape. The scene is laid-back chic.
There’s a lot of history in Sag Harbor, too. The village was once an international whaling port and even holds the title of being the first official port of the United States. There were skirmishes here during the American Revolutionary War and the War of 1812. Sag Harbor was also mentioned in Herman Melville’s classic Moby-Dick.
The car to get you there, then, must be elegant. It demands something stylish, something sexy. You’ll want to pull up in a Lexus. The RX 350 is a luxury crossover SUV whose style and strength are a perfect match for the Sag Harbor landscape.
Whether you are there to visit the illustrious Bay Street Theater, called “one of the country’s pre-eminent regional theatres” by CBS Sunday, or to visit such upscale eateries as The Muse in the Harbor, park your Lexus and stretch your legs. There are plenty of sights to see.
On September 13, the Bay Street Theater plays host to Harborfest All Star Comedy: hosted by comedian Joseph Vecsey of The Call Back podcast and featuring Marina Franklin, Akaash Singh, Giulio Gallarotti, with music by Nicky K. At the end of the month, join the Sag Harbor Music Festival after-party with Mamalee Rose and Friends on Saturday, September 27 at 8 p.m.
The Sag Harbor American Music Festival runs September 26 and 27. The festival kicks-off with a main stage concert and fundraiser at the Old Whalers’ Church, followed by a day of FREE music with dozens of musical acts. Local galleries, restaurants and businesses serve as the free, intimate venues, along with outdoor locations, offering a wide variety of performances during the festival weekend.

Try “Not Yo Mama’s Meatballs”—four different mouthwatering spheres of fresh beef and chicken with different sauces to slather those gobblers up with. Delish. Every fish dish is a hands-down knockout—from the tuna to the seasonal entrees just caught off the dock. And don’t hold back—their bartender certainly doesn’t. With inventive cocktails that makes the drinks there true mixologist concoctions, you can’t drive to Sag Harbor and miss the Muse.
So jump into your refined automobile and cruise on down to a Main Street you’ll never forget. To get into your sweet Lexus ride, call Leonard Cafarelli at Lexus of Massapequa or Keith Drago at Lexus of Rockville Centre. They will take care of all of your Lexus needs.
See you at the Harbor!
