Roslyn residents Scott Reich and Michael Winik, co-owners of OurHarvest, were recently honored by Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano for their innovative business model where by partnering with farmers, fishermen, and food artisans, they purchase or source all-natural products locally to maximize freshness, ensure quality, and keep costs down.

Customers place orders online through a website then OurHarvest fulfills the orders and brings them to a convenient location in the community where customers pick-up their food — the equivalent of a pop-up farmer’s market. For every order above $25, OurHarvest donates a meal to a local food pantry.

Customers, Reich and Winik claim, are not only eating better food; they’re giving back to your community at the same time. OurHarvest is currently operating in Roslyn, Port Washington, Huntington, East Meadow, Hicksville and New Hyde Park.
