The Seventh Squad reported the details of the arrests of three Freeport men for Burglary that occurred on Monday, Jan. 19, at 8:32 p.m. in Seaford.
According to detectives, 911 received a call that three subjects were seen entering a basement door of the Mulberry Street Restaurant – 3930 Sunrise Highway. Police arrived and found defendants Damon J. Morck, 43, Benjamin Donaldson, 22 and Tyler Ryan Juers, 19, inside attempting to wait for the restaurant to close for the night. The defendants were apprehended and found to have in their possession a loaded semi-automatic .25 caliber Rami handgun and a semi-automatic .40 caliber Rami handgun. Subsequent to an arrest defendant Morck was found to have in his possession a substance believed to be cocaine. Additionally a brownish waxy substance was also located in defendants’ Juers 2007 Nissan Sentra which was parked in the back of the restaurant parking lot.
The defendants are being charged with Burglary 2nd Degree, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree. Defendants Morck and Juers are additionally charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree. They will be arraigned on Tuesday, Jan. 20, at First District Court, Hempstead.
