I read your coverage of the Tuesday “Blizzard of 2015” stating that it wasn’t as bad as predicted. In my opinion, the reason that Great Neck was so quiet on that day was the fact that Governor Andrew Cuomo banned all traffic and closed the LIRR and all means under state control. This was the best idea to combat the onslaught of traffic and confusion endemic to big snow storms.
Also, the streets in town were not plowed curb to curb. Perhaps we should make it mandatory to remove all vehicles from village streets to get them clean.
