A 32-year-old Lindenhurst man was accused of trying to recruit two 14-year-old girls in Massapequa Park to be in a pornographic video with him on Monday, Nassau County police said.

Andrew Quattrone was arrested and charged with attempted use of a child in a sexual performance, endangering the welfare of a child and criminal solicitation.

Police said that the suspect approached the girls outside of King Kullen on Merrick Road, showed them a box of condoms, asked them if they would like to be in an adult video with him and showed them pornographic pictures on his phone shortly after 5 p.m.

When the girls walked away, Quattrone allegedly asked them to reconsider making a video before they ran to a nearby store and called police, authorities said.

Officers took Quattrone into custody shortly later. He will be arraigned Tuesday at First District Court in Hempstead.

Quattronewas paroled in September 2013 from an upstate New York prison, where he served three years after being convicted of criminal solicitation and criminal possession of a controlled substance when he was previously arrested for luring young girls to be in adults movies on St. Patrick’s Day 2009, according to reports and records.
