From Monday, Aug. 11 through Friday, Aug. 22, the Roslyn Harbor-based Nassau County Museum of Art will host its second Summer Art Lab 2014 session.
The session offers classes for children ages 5 to 8 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., and ages 9 to 13 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Classes are held five days a week with a half-hour snack break and are taught by professional art educators.
Summer Art Lab 2014 programs will be full of indoor and outdoor adventures that offer creative opportunities for children through a mix of art making, science activities, group projects and more.
Activities include hands-on art making (printmaking, sculpture, painting and more), sketching, gallery games, story time, outdoor scavenger hunts, hiking and journaling.
