Suffolk County police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who was found dead in a wooded area of East Patchogue last week.
The unidentified man, whose cause of death has been ruled non-criminal, was found dead in a beige Kelty tent in a wooded area northeast of Swan Lake Drive and Franklin Street on July 30, police said.
He is described as white, 5-feet, 5-inches to 5-feet, 6-inches tall with a thin build and was believed to be between 45 and 60 years old.
Police said he was living in the location for at least a year and was frequently seen in the area riding a bicycle. He often wore a red bandana.
