

Great Neck resident Robyn Schneider, author of Silent Running: Our Family’s Journey to the Finish Line with Autism, was one of the featured authors at the East Hampton Library’s Authors Night on Aug. 8.

Hosted by founding honorary cochair Alec Baldwin, the premier literary event of the year captured the attention of more than 2,000 book lovers.

Along with authors such as Nelson DeMille, Dr. Ruth Westheimer,
Dick Cavett, Katie Lee, Jonathan Adler and Edward Burns, Schneider signed copies of her book for enthusiasts interested in her journey of how, after a receiving a double diagnosis of severe autism for her identical twin sons, she helped them become marathon runners.
