On Saturday, Oct. 10, Residents For a More Beautiful Port Washington and their Green Team Leaders planted on the Town Dock recently.
The Green Team Leaders are students from the elementary schools who expressed an interest in doing more for the environment.
They planted mums at the Town Dock in the Zimmerman Garden. The Zimmerman Garden is a special garden and was planted in honor of Robert Zimmerman, who helped plan the promenade at the Town Dock. The mums help make the garden beautiful for the Fall. They had a nice turn out and the kids had a great time. The Zimmerman family is very proud.
