The Manhasset Women’s Coalition Against Breast Cancer (MWCABC) would like to thank all of the participants of its 17th annual walk/run on Sunday, Oct. 25. The rain could not stop the enthusiasm of community members from joining together to raise funds for breast cancer research and to support the MWCABC Outreach Program. Nearly 1,000 people, of all ages, came out in support of the cause. The day proved to be a fun-filled morning with smiles, laughter, and exercise too. Manhasset’s own, Carson Daly, was on-hand at this popular community event.
A special thank you to the volunteers from the Manhasset High School cross-country team, the MWCABC Junior Coalition, the Manhasset High School National Honor Society and the MWCABC board for tirelessly taking on tasks despite the rain in order to ensure the day’s success. Sunday was proof; this community is doing its part to find a cure.
