ROA to Present Award-Winning Documentary

imagesThe Green Committee of Reach Out America (ROA) and Food Water Watch will present a screening of the award-winning documentary GMO OMG by Jeremy Seifert on Wednesday, Nov. 11, at 1:45 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Shelter Rock, 48 Shelter Rock Rd. in Manhasset.

Seifert’s film follows his family’s struggle to eat and live a healthy lifestyle while discovering the infiltration of corporate America’s genetically modified foods and its investment in keeping the public in the dark. This powerful movie explores consumer’s rights to know what’s in our foods and the effects these modifications will have on our future as well as the generations to come. Speaker Margaret Mahar will answer questions following the film. Admission is free and refreshments will be served.

Reach Out America’s regular meeting will begin at 12:30 pm. Committee reports will be on the agenda and proposed actions will follow. All are invited to attend the meeting and the film.

Reach Out America is an activist grassroots group of citizens dedicated to working with others in social and political action to safeguard our Constitutional rights.

Meetings are on the second Wednesday of every month. For further information, contact ROA at www.reachout-america.com or write to P.O. Box 222057, Great Neck, NY 11022.
