On Sunday, Nov. 15, congregants from Temple Judea helped to run Neighbors Helping Neighbors, an event that distributes winter clothing, fresh fruits and vegetables to those in need in the community of Glen Cove. Temple Judea’s volunteers joined with other local synagogues and the Sid Jacobson JCC through a consortium called TANS to create the event, which was held outside at the Pulaski Garage. Religious school students from Temple Judea decorated and filled snack bags and made sandwiches which were distributed that afternoon. The helpers and those helped appreciated the experience.
