Port Washington Public Library Director Nancy Curtin shared exciting news about the new Children’s Library at a recent Port Washington Parents Council (PC) meeting. She presented a slideshow highlighting the new design and room elements. The new Children’s Library will service the library’s youngest patrons through tweens (from birth to age 13) and their families. The various spaces will offer many learning options, from freeplay to innovative reading nooks to an enclosed activity workroom. The project will be funded from private donors in the community and from local politicians. Curtin thanked the PC for inviting the library to speak about this project.
