The annual piano recital on Dec. 15 was held in the Port Washington Library, led by pianist-teacher Ms. Paner Ying. The pianists were ages 5 to 15 and they all performed from memory. The selections were from well-known pieces by Bach, Chopin, Liszt and Schumann, in addition to pop hits, broadway musicals and jazz music as well. The boys and girls captured the audience with musicianship and skills. Eleven of them were first time-performers and some have had at least 10 years of performing experience. It was a magical afternoon.
