Residents looking for a fun activity or new form of exercise to make the upcoming winter months more exciting are invited to take part in the Town of Oyster Bay’s Adult Co-Ed Badminton Program, according to town councilman Chris J. Coschignano. The program is open to town residents and non-residents 18 and older, and will be held at the Town of Oyster Bay Hicksville Athletic Center.
The badminton program starts on Thursday, Jan. 7 and will be held on Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. The badminton program will be conducted on Thursdays from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m., Fridays from 9 to 10:30 p.m. and Sundays from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. The program is 12 weeks in duration, and is $75 for town residents and $100 for non-residents. Proof of residency is required.
“If you’re looking to keep active and beat the cold this winter, then the badminton program could be just what you’re looking for,” said Coschignano. “Participants of the badminton program find that the program offers a healthy workout and includes beneficial social aspects as well.” “The town’s co-ed badminton program is a great opportunity to increase your health as well as make new friends,” said Coschignano. “I sincerely encourage everyone to take advantage of such a terrific program.”
