Registration for all Port Washington PAL Winter Sports has begun. This winter, the Port Washington Police Athletic League will offer professionally run programs in Developmental Basketball, Pre-Travel Soccer, and 10 & Under Tennis. We are also offering, in conjunction with Frozen Ropes Syosset, Winter Workouts in baseball and softball. Every PW PAL program is open to all regardless of ability, location, finances,or any other program you may be part of. PW PAL, wants kids to play as much as possible.
All programs are run by respected professionals in the area. Independent professional instructors run the programs so that every child gets treated the same. Within the structure of professional coaching, the organization welcomes parental volunteers to assist under their guidance. All parents, like all hired coaches, are screened by the PW Police Department ensuring maximum protection for every child in the program.
PW PAL, established 1948, is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization run entirely by volunteers whose guiding interest is the athletic well-being and development of members. PW PAL would much rather pay a high-level professional coach than an administrator. This approach allows PW PAL to field competitive programs while keeping prices at the level of a nonprofit.
