Residents looking for a way to exercise or an outlet for a fun social activity during the winter are invited to take part in the Town of Oyster Bay’s Winter 2016 Open Court Volleyball Program, according to Town Councilman Anthony Macagnone. The program is open to town residents and non-residents 18 and older, and will be held at the Town of Oyster Bay Hicksville Athletic Center.
The volleyball program begins on Tuesday, Jan. 5 and will be held on Mondays, Tuesdays and Saturdays. It will be conducted on Mondays from 9 to 10:30 p.m., Tuesdays from 9 to 10:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. The program is 12 weeks in duration, and is $75 for residents and $100 for non-residents. Proof of residency is required.
“The volleyball program is an excellent hobby to undertake during the chilly winter months,” said Macagnone. “The Town’s Open Court Volleyball Program is a wonderful program that keeps residents healthy and social. I encourage residents to sign up for the volleyball program and become part of what is certain to be an enjoyable 12 weeks.”
