Hingher Scores 1,000 As Massapequa Girls Basketball Improves To 3-0

On Tuesday, Dec. 22, senior forward Melanie Hingher netted her 1,000^th point during the first quarter against Hempstead. She is only the 10^th player in Massapequa Girls Basketball history to achieve this feat. Welcoming her to this elusive club during the on-court presentation were former Massapequa standouts Mary Anne Ferraro (Abiuso), ’98 and Suzi Fregosi, ’07. The Chiefs went on to route Hempstead by a score of 71-17 and improve to 3-0 in league play.
