I would like to give thanks to those who helped make this year’s menorah lighting celebration such a wonderful success:
Maura Bros. for erecting the giant steel Main Street menorah, Winston from Supreme Auto for painting the menorah as good as new, Michael and Adele Greif for donating the scarves for the event, Starbucks and Everfresh of Great Neck for donating the food and drink at both Port and Manhasset lightings, Sanford Lewis for keeping an eye to make sure the store menorahs were kept up to speed with the number of candles each night, Schreiber High School Tri-M music students for playing at the event, Town of North Hempstead, PWPD and PWFD for the stage, security and lighting, Political leaders for attending the event, Gloria Glantz for lighting the menorah, Bryan Sherman for overseeing the sound and music, Port Washington News for publicizing the event, and for the photo spread it published afterwards, Rob Salzbank of Rampage Studios for so ably photographing the main event, the Shurka family for bringing their gorgeous car to the event, adorned with a menorah atop, my son Leibel for serving as the dreidle mascot, Blanca and Alex (of my staff) for setup and clean up, and also for putting up the store menorahs in Stop and Shop, King Kullen Manhasset, North Shore Farms, as well as overseeing the street menorahs at Town Hall Park, at the corner of Main Street and Shore Road, and Northern Boulevard at the corner of Port Wash Boulevard. Thanks to the management of Stop and Shop, North Shore Farms, King Kullen Manhasset, Ayhan’s Corner and town hall for welcoming our menorahs to be displayed.
