Bideawee invites young artists grades 1-12 to participate in the organization’s 8th annual “Love Your Pet Art Contest & Expo.” All are encouraged to use their artistic talent to express their love for animals.
Students grades 1-8 can submit artwork representing any medium, including drawings, paintings, sculptures, etc. Artwork must be mailed or dropped off at the Adoption Center at Bideawee located at 118 Old Country Road, Westhampton, NY 11977 from 9am-5pm daily, before February 3, 2016.
Students grades 9-12 are invited to submit photography for Bideawee’s online contest. Students can enter photos at www.bideawee.org/loveyourpet from January 8, 2016 – February 4, 2016. Photography specifications are listed on the website.
The first 300 art entries from grades 1-8 will be displayed at Bideawee’s Art Expo for viewing by the public at select times from February 6th – 12th. Winners will be determined by public vote. A $5 donation will grant entrance into the show and help continue to care for the pets in need at Bideawee.
The online photography entries from grades 9-12 will be displayed at www.bideawee.org/loveyourpet from February 6th – 15th. All are invited to visit the website to vote for favorites.
Winners will be announced on February 17th. Prizes will be awarded in groupings based on children’s grade year in school from 1st through 12th grade. Winning students from both the Expo and online contest will receive Gift Cards from our supporters: Target, Splish Splash, Tanger Outlets, Dave & Busters… and more! Bideawee will also choose one submission to appear on our Mailing Labels delivered to more than 30,000 supporters.
