Students Reimagine Cardboard

Park AveCardboard__010615Anue students recently took place in the National Cardboard Challenge. The challenge was started in 2011 by Los Angeles 9-year-old Caine Monroy, who spent his summer vacation building his own arcade out of cardboard boxes in his dad’s auto body shop. He was discovered by a film maker, who partnered up with the Imagination Foundation to make this a worldwide challenge. Now, every year, children around the world are invited to design and build awesome creations using cardboard, recycled materials and imagination.

Students at Park Avenue school created cardboard games and mazes, using recycled materials, boxes, tape, glue and more. The children enjoyed playing the games in the gymnasium at a Day of Play.
