Kea Grabinski, an English Language Arts teacher at Westbury Middle School, was presented the 2015 Educator of Excellence Award from the New York State English Council at this year’s New York State English Council’s annual conference. Each year, the New York State English Council recognizes excellence in teaching by presenting the award to teachers who inspire excellence in students as well as teachers. The award recipients are leaders, collaborators, and mentors in their field. Grabinski was one of only six middle school English teachers selected this year.
