Lynn Quilty, a true angel, has returned to Heaven. A beloved wife, mother, sister, daughter and grandmother, she passed peacefully on Tuesday, Dec. 29, with her family close by her side. Lynn left this world in the same manner in which she lived: with strength, dignity, grace, selflessness and peace.
Lynn is survived by her loving husband, Kevin; sons Jim (Sherry) and Sean (Ashley); daughter Kate (Patrick); brother Bill Kitley; mother Thea Kitley and her treasured grandchildren, Connor and Logan.
Lynn was born in Port Washington on July 20, 1952, where she attended Schreiber High School. She later attended the State University of New York, Oneonta, where she earned a BA in sociology.
Lynn dedicated her life to raising her three children and loved nothing more than spending time with her two grandsons, Connor and Logan. She lived her life spreading joy and her positive spirit to her family and many friends.
Christmas was by far Lynn’s favorite time of year, and she was able to spend this last holiday surrounded by her family and loved ones. Lynn will be missed more than words can express, but her legacy of selflessness, generosity, happiness and love of life will carry on through the lives of those she so gracefully touched.
A celebration of Lynn’s life was held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 2, at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 81 Swamp Rd., Newtown, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lynn’s honor to: leiomyosarcoma direct research (www.lmsdr.org).
