In its first year as a recognized sport by New York State, the Carle Place varsity cheerleaders performed at three competitions this year and placed in each of them. The team placed fourth in a competition held at Valley Stream North, second in one at MacArthur High School and third in one at Eastport-South Manor. The competitions encompassed the best of Sections VIII and XI in sectional and invitational competitions. This was an outstanding season against tough competitors in Nassau and Suffolk counties alike.
