PAL Offers Variety Of Spring Sports Options

Registration is coming up for Westbury/Carle Place PAL spring sports. Each program lasts six weeks.

There will be a basketball clinic for boys and girls in grades 1-3 taught by Fred Dunwoody. Learn the fundamentals like dribbling, offense, defense, passing and shooting and improve your game. Thursday nights from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. $60 per child. There will be an indoor and outdoor soccer clinic for boys and girls from grades K-3 and 4-7. Taught by Eric Lorandini, Premier Soccer. The outdoor program takes place at the Powells Lane Elementary School field, the indoor program is at the Cherry lane Elementary School gym. Tuesday or Wednesday from 6 to 7 p.m. or 7:05 to 8:05 p.m. $100 per child. Starts Tuesday, March 29 and Wednesday, March 30.

Boys and girls in grades 1-3 and 4-7 can improve their agility and cardio in the speed and conditioning program. At the Powells Lane School or Recreation Center on Post Avenue. Begins Thursday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. or 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. $110 per child.

Boys and girls in grades 5-8 can join the volleyball program held at Westbury Middle School. Starting Wednesday, March 30, from 6 to 7:15 p.m. $30 per child.

Outdoor ultimate frisbee begins Tuesday, March 29, and runs from 6 to 9 p.m. at Westbury Middle School. $20 per child.

Registration takes place at the Westbury PAL Office, 357 Rockland Ave. (call 516-750-8019 for an appointment to register), Cherry Lane School on March 15, 22 and 23, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. and in the Westbury Middle School Gym on March 17 and 24, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
