Residents For a More Beautiful Port Washington will honor Jennifer Rimmer and Laurie Scheinman’s wit & whim during its annual gala on Friday, April 8, at Leonard’s of Great Neck.
Rimmer has been actively involved in the beautification and betterment of the Port Washington peninsula in myriad ways since moving here 20 years ago. Scheinman’s wit & whim opened in 2012 and immediately became entrenched in the community, particularly with its generosity to local charities.
A new honoree category being introduced during this year’s gala recognizes individuals who demonstrate exceptional community devotion. The 2016 Community Service honoree is Barbara Faticone and Chuck Idol will receive an Environmental Award.
