A warm welcome to Nancy Carman and Maryann Seales, the two newest members of the Women’s Club of Farmingdale. Last month, the club also welcomed Pauline Bove and Catherine Sewell. Carman is a member of St. Luke’s Cut-Ups, making quilts for Lutheran World Relief and is past PTA President at UC Palsy in Nassau where she currently volunteers. She enjoys sewing, baking and gardening. Seales has worked at Farmingdale High School and has been a Girl Scout leader for 13 years. She was responsible for bringing the Girls Scouts program to Northside School. She enjoys boating and playing Mah Jongg.
At their March meeting, the Women’s Club of Farmingdale hosted a very successful Lemon Auction under the direction of Ways & Means Chair Loda Romanelli, Edie Allen, Katie McKeveny and volunteer auctioneer, Bea Ferrari. Members brought their “lemons” and went home with new-found “treasures.” Proceeds support student scholarships and community improvement.
