“I urge you to take a FREE hearing screening, which only takes a few moments, at my July 13 Hearing Screening Program,” said Senator Kemp Hannon (R-Nassau).  “If your hearing is not within normal range, a complete audiological evaluation is advised (a comprehensive diagnostic test which should performed by a licensed audiologist).”

The program takes place at the Farmingdale Public Library (located at 116 Merritts Rd.in Farmingdale), between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., on Wednesday, July 13. The event is free, but space is limited and reservations are required. To schedule your appointment, contact Senator Hannon’s Community Office at 516-739-1700.

During the screening, a simple audio test will be performed with will indicate one of two things: 1) your hearing is very likely normal; or 2) there is a possibility that your hearing ability is not within normal range. If it is the latter, it is recommended you have further testing performed.

The screenings will be performed by Dr. Susan Antonellis and Dr. Charlotte Merlo, from the Mill Neck Services Center for Hearing Health.

This location is handicap accessible.
