The Town of North Hempstead’s FunDay Monday scheduled for today, July 25, has been canceled due to high-heat warnings. The Senior Health, Education and Information Fair that was supposed to take place today will instead be held next Monday, August 1.

The town will still offer free admission to North Hempstead Beach Park for seniors on July 25.

“While canceling town events is a difficult decision, we believe it is best for our hundreds of seniors who attend Funday Monday,” said Supervisor Judi Bosworth.

For more information, call the town’s 311 Call Center.
