Town of North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth recently visited Clark Botanic Garden in Albertson to thank volunteers with special needs for their work in the 12-acre garden. The garden hosts volunteers with vision and hearing loss and with intellectual disabilities from different organizations each Wednesday. The volunteers assist with maintaining the garden and performing tasks such as pruning and weeding. Recently, Bosworth met with, and thanked, volunteers from the organization Human First, a non-profit organization that works with individuals with special needs to provide them with greater opportunities to reach their personal goals as well as developing support systems for both individuals and their families.
