Nassau County Legislator Ellen W. Birnbaum and the Nassau County Department of Assessment will be holding tax exemption workshops on Thursday, Aug. 25, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at Great Neck House at 14 Arrandale Ave. in Great Neck and on Friday, Oct. 7, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the Village of Lake Success Village Hall at 318 Lakeville Rd. in Lake Success.
Find out whether you’re eligible for savings on your property taxes through Basic STAR, Enhanced STAR, a veterans exemption, a low-income seniors exemption, a volunteer firefighter or ambulance workers exemption, or a limited-income and disability exemption.
Equipped with specially configured computers linked to the county’s database, the county assessor’s staff will process property-tax exemption applications on-site.
