According to a Facebook posting: “Rhiannon personified all that is good and right about sports: she was a wonderful teammate, a consummate leader, a loyal friend, and an all-around fantastic athlete that inspired her coaches and teammates, alike. Words cannot do justice to express the profound sadness that we feel in our hearts as Farmingdale lost a wonderful young lady way too soon.… However, we are proud to say that in death, Rhiannon has emerged a hero, as her harvested organs gave the gift of precious life to a number of very grateful organ donation candidates.”
