A 52-year-old landscaper from Flanders who was hit by an alleged drugged driver in Ridge this week has died, Suffolk County police said.
Anibal Aceituno-Perez was mowing a lawn on the corner of Route 25 and Pleasant View Road when he was hit by an eastbound Cadillac at 11:50 a.m. Tuesday, police have said.
The victim had been admitted in critical condition to Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead before he died.
Brianna Hassett, 24, of Wading River, was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs. A judge set her bail at $50,000 cash or $100,000 bond. She is due back in court Monday.
