Third Suspect Arrested in Uniondale Murder

A third suspect has been accused of having a role in the shooting death of a 32-year-old man in the victim’s hometown of Uniondale last month, Nassau County police said.

Joshua Taylor, 24, of Uniondale, was arrested Saturday in Hartford, Conn. and extradited Friday back to Long Island on a charge of second-degree murder.

Homicide Squad detectives alleged he was involved in the killing of Jude Saint-Clair, who was shot multiple times while standing on the side of Nassau Road at 10 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 21.

Investigators previously arrested Kadeem Lyle, 22, and Jorge Burgess, 23, in connection with the case. Burgess was also charged with second-degree murder and Lyle was charged with criminal facilitation and hindering prosecution.

Burgess was ordered held without bail. A judge ordered Lyle held on $600,000 cash or $750,000 bond. Lyle is due back in court Oct. 5 and Burgess is due back Oct. 7.

Taylor will be arraigned Saturday at First District Court in Hempstead.
