A chain-reaction crash left a driver and a pedestrian dead in North Bellmore over the weekend.
Stephen Rossman, 20, of Seaford, was speeding in a Nissan Rogue westbound on Jerusalem Avenue when he rear-ended a Nissan Altima, which struck a 45-year-old Wantagh woman who was crossing the road at 9:25 p.m. Friday, police said.
The Altima then hit an eastbound Subaru and Rossman’s SUV hit a parked box truck and a dumpster, which hit another Nissan, police said.
Rossman and the pedestrian were pronounced dead at the scene. The woman’s name wasn’t immediately available.
The other drivers were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
