MacArthur High School Presents ‘The Addams Family’

Under the direction of Lisa Levenberg and Carisa Wellenreuther, MacArthur High School’s talented cast and crew drew a packed house during three performances of the musical comedy The Addams Family, held in the auditorium on Nov. 17-19. After a successful preview matinee for senior citizens, the cast, crew and pit orchestra musicians entertained the audience with their rendition of author Charles Addams and Broadway’s tale of an unconventional family.MacPlay_113016A

On stage, Anthony Bologna played the role of Gomez with MacKenzie Zorn as Morticia. Camilla Montoya, Nikolette Dempsey and Jake Schauder also delivered powerful performances as Wednesday, Pugsley and Uncle Fester, respectively. In addition, the cast entertained the audience with performances from Jenna Stillman (Grandma), Joey Calvo (Lucas), Michelle Shapiro (Alice), Ted Fiber (Mal) and Andrew Zabatta (Lurch).

The show’s success was also due to the artistic talents of choreographers Ryan Nolin and Jennifer Malin, stage manager Megan Opallo, pit orchestra director Iris Winter and set builders Matt Malin and John Mazzarella.

“There are no words to express how proud I am of all the work you put into making this show possible,” said Levenberg, thanking everyone who was involved with the musical production.
