As Christmas approaches, the volunteer EMTs at the Wantagh-Levittown Volunteer Ambulance Corps (WLVAC) are going to spread some holiday cheer with their annual Santa Run on Sunday, Dec. 18. Don’t be alarmed if you see lots of emergency lights and hear Christmas carols in your neighborhood; it’s just jolly old St. Nick. Santa will make three stops: Island Trees Middle School from 11 a.m. to noon; Veteran’s Memorial Park from 2 to 3 p.m. and the East Village Green from 6 to 7 p.m. Be sure to bring the kids for a picture with Santa, a candy cane and some holiday cheer. Bring the dogs for a treat, too.
Look for updates on the schedule and route, Santa’s current location and pictures on the Wantagh-Levittown Volunteer Ambulance Corps Facebook Page. Santa won’t be able to make it down each street, so make sure to come to one of the stops. The WLVAC Elves will also be collecting pet food and toys for Forgotten Friends of Long Island. If you have questions about the tour route, times or other issues, contact info@wlvacems.com or message their Facebook page. The members of the Wantagh-Levittown Volunteer Ambulance Corps wish everyone a very happy holiday season.
