Babylon FD SUV Fatally Hits Pedestrian

A 64-year-old West Babylon man was fatally hit by a Babylon Fire Department SUV in Babylon on Wednesday night.

Suffolk County police said Meade Pilaccio was crossing Park Avenue when he was hit by a Dodge Durango that was responding to an emergency call with its emergency lights activated near the corner of Deer Park Avenue at 10 p.m.

The victim was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, where he was pronounced dead. The driver was not injured.
